Autumn Colours
Here where I live I'm seeing more and more hints of autumn every time I look outside. The temperatures still feel like summer but I know fall is just around the corner. I absolutely love the colours and temperatures that fall brings but it also brings to mind that winter is going to follow! So with fall and going back to school in mind I have been working on a few hats that suit this time of the year. My sister from Simply Rosie came out to my place yesterday to photo shoot my girls in a few of them so soon I will have some more beautiful choices of hats in my shop!
As far as my baby is concerned, he's doing very well! Unbelievably the first month has come and gone already and a part of me feels sad to see him grow out of the sleepy newborn stage already. He has been very good too me and we love snuggling despite the extremely warm temperatures we've had lately!

Hot Summer Days
Well, where I live (Manitoba, Canada) we've been hit with a heat wave over the past few days so I'm staying mostly in my house where it's a bit cooler than outside. With baby's arrival day coming very close now with only 1.5 weeks left until due date the hot humid temperatures are making it quite difficult for me to stay positive! Heat used to be something that I thrived on but after having a few kids mild temperatures are much appreciated.
Last night my hubby decided to spend the night tenting on the lawn with the kids. By 11 pm youngest girlie was in the house and tucked into her crib. I was very content to stay in my air conditioned room for the night. By 4 am the rest of the clan came stumbling up the stairs hoping to find a cooler spot to spend the rest of the night and hoping to avoid the storm in the distance. Good thing they made that choice as that storm was quite something!
As far as my crochet, I'm still keeping up with orders and hoping to get a few more items made for my little one. Once we're settled in with baby I have a few items to introduce to everyone that I'm very excited about and hope you will be too!

My Kids!
So you will most likely see my children's faces in my shop often as they are always available and they are very, very adorable!
My oldest is Bronson and he is turning 6 in a bit over a month. He is just finishing up kindergarten and has had a very positive experience so far and loves to learn. Here he is modelling one of my hats. He's not too crazy about being in front of the camera so he might appear less frequently but isn't he so handsome?
My second oldest, Elizabeth (named after my mom), turned 4 this past April and is extremely energetic and carefree when she's well. She is our miracle child as she was born with serious complications in her kidneys/bladder. After two surguries and some hospital stays she has done quite well and has proven to us over and over again how brave she is! Here she is, beautiful as always:
Our third, Emily is 2 1/2 years old and she has an awesomely cheerful personality and we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her! She's our first to inherit daddy's beautiful blue eyes. She'll have to adjust to losing her "baby" satus in a few weeks with number 4 coming but I think she'll make a wonderful sister:

And in case you haven't become a fan of my Facebook page yet, I'm sitting at 49 sales and to celebrate sale #50 I'm reimbursing shipping costs to whomever makes that sale!
